We answer the most common questions from candidates and companies.
For Candidates
JOBO is a platform where you show what you can actually do, not just what's written on your CV. Instead of competing over who has the nicest-looking CV, we assess you in the round: the way you communicate, how you work and your real abilities. It's a fairer, more complete way to put yourself forward for a role.
No. JOBO is completely free for candidates: there are no fees or payments at any point, neither for signing up, nor for the assessments, nor for the interview. You just focus on presenting yourself as well as possible. Plans and subscriptions are only for the companies that post processes.
You create your account with your name, email and a password, or with your social account in one click, and you accept the legal terms. We ask you to verify your identity to guarantee the security and authenticity of the process and to confirm that you are over 18 (a legal requirement). You then complete your profile with your experience, skills and education.
Yes. During setup you can upload your CV as a PDF and JOBO automatically pre-fills your description, skills, experience and education, saving you time. You then review and adjust any details before finishing, and you can update your profile whenever you like from your dashboard. Keeping it up to date helps companies get to know you better in each process.
The challenges are varied tasks that give you more ways to prove your worth beyond your CV: what you know, how you think and how you handle real situations. They're tailored to the role you're applying for, so the set can vary from one process to another. The idea is for you to stand out for what you genuinely know how to do.
You don't need any special preparation: the best thing is to show up naturally, at a moment without distractions, and just be yourself. It's not about memorising things, but about reflecting who you are and what you can do. Remember that the whole process is free for you.
The assessments and the interview are online and recorded in your own time, so you do them at your own pace, whenever and wherever suits you, with no need to coordinate schedules. Before you start, you'll see the information for each part so you can organise yourself with peace of mind. If you have any questions during the process, you can write to us via Contact.
It's an interview you record yourself from your browser, answering several questions. It's short, online and recorded in your own time, so you do it whenever and wherever you like, with no need to coordinate schedules or travel. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone.
Just an up-to-date browser with camera and microphone permission; when you start, it will ask you for that permission. Our tips: position yourself somewhere well lit and quiet, look at the camera and speak clearly. If your connection drops, don't worry: wait for it to come back and avoid closing the tab while the upload completes; if you have any problems, write to us via Contact.
You don't need to install anything: JOBO works straight from an up-to-date browser, whether on a computer, phone or tablet. For the interview you only need a device with a camera and microphone and permission to use them. If something isn't working for you, write to us via Contact and we'll help.
No. The AI helps generate a score and a ranking to guide the company, but the final decision is always made by the company, never the system, and JOBO doesn't rule anyone out automatically. You'll find all the details about how the AI is involved and your rights (including those under the EU AI Act) on the Automated Decisions and AI page.
No. JOBO does not infer emotions, personality or intentions from your video interview; in fact, European law (the EU AI Act) prohibits this in this context. The video is only used to assess communication aspects relevant to the role, never your mood. You'll find the details on the Automated Decisions and AI page.
Yes. You have the right to ask for a person to review your assessment, to give your point of view and, if you wish, to request its deletion. The procedure, the channel for doing so and all your rights are on the Automated Decisions and AI page. If something doesn't sit right with you during a process, you can also write to us via Contact.
The decision to select a candidate or not always rests with the company, so the outcome of the process is down to them. Regarding your assessment, you have specific rights (such as requesting information, asking for a person to review it or giving your point of view), which are explained on the Automated Decisions and AI page. There you'll also find the channel for exercising them.
When you apply, you share your profile, your answers and the assessment with the company for that role, which uses them only for that selection process. You can withdraw your application whenever you like, and that immediately cuts off the company's access to your data. In your "My applications" section you can keep track at all times of where each process stands.
Yes. With a single profile you can apply for the processes that interest you, and your information is reused so you don't have to fill it in each time. Each process is independent: the company only sees what relates to its role, and you keep track of the status of all your applications from "My applications".
You can request the permanent deletion of your account and your data (including recordings) by following the procedure on the Data Deletion page. If you do so during a process, your active applications are withdrawn and the company loses access to your data. We handle the request within the timeframes set out in the Privacy Policy, and only the minimum records required by law are kept (for example, for billing); you can also request early deletion of your video interview at any time.
For Companies
You can create the process from scratch or paste a job description you already have: JOBO extracts and fills in the fields for you (title, responsibilities, requirements, type of role) and even suggests a salary. In minutes you have the process set up and you fine-tune it to your liking. You then choose which assessments to activate depending on what you're looking for in that role.
There are two modalities, and the price is always expressed per process. To get started, pay per use: a small monthly maintenance fee that is fully credited against your next process, plus a price per process. To stay, prepaid annual quotas of 6, 12, 24 or 48 processes per year: the bigger the quota, the lower the price per process, and there is no monthly fee. The product is identical in every case — all assessments, reports and integrations included.
You can check the plans and their prices before subscribing, and compare what each one includes according to your hiring volume. If you have questions about which plan suits you or you need something bespoke, write to us via Contact and we'll advise you with no obligation.
Yes. Your first process is free and runs with the full product (every assessment and feature), so you can try JOBO to the full. You only pay if you hire one of the candidates: at that moment the quota you chose is activated and starts in full — the free process doesn't consume it. You don't need a card to get started: payment is requested when you declare the hire. It's the best way to see the value of JOBO before deciding.
It depends on the modality. With pay per use you pay a small monthly maintenance fee (fully credited against your next process) and each process when you launch it. Annual quotas are prepaid in a single upfront payment, which is why they carry the best price per process — and with Plan Origen your price stays fixed as long as the account remains active (offer valid until 31/12/2026). If you need more processes than those included, extra ones are billed at your same per-process price — you can buy several in one go — and when you renew, unused processes come back to you as a credit on the next year's fee (up to 10% of your quota, rounded up).
Yes. If you use up the processes included in your plan, you can add one-off additional processes whenever you need them, without having to change plan. The price of an additional process is cheaper the higher your plan is, so scaling up keeps pace with your hiring rhythm.
Yes. From your dashboard you can upgrade to a higher plan or switch from quarterly to annual at any time, with the amount adjusted proportionally, and you have a billing portal to update your payment method and check your subscription. For downgrades to a lower plan or bespoke needs, write to us and we'll help.
You can cancel your subscription whenever you like from the billing portal. Your history of processes and assessments is handled in accordance with the terms of service and data protection law; if you need to export information or have a specific case, write to us via Contact and we'll help. The legal details are in the Business Terms and the DPA.
JOBO assesses each person in the round, looking at much more than the CV: how they communicate, how they work and their real abilities for the role. The assessment adapts to what really matters in each role, and which assessments are activated depends on the role. The result is a complete, fair picture of each candidate, not just what's on paper.
JOBO shows you a ranking ordered by each candidate's score, with a clear report per person, and you can compare strengths by area. The AI generates the score and the order to give you evidence to decide with, but the decision to hire is always yours. You decide with data, not on a hunch.
A typical process takes between 1 and 2 weeks, depending on the number of candidates and the assessments activated. Because the assessments are online and recorded in their own time, candidates progress at their own pace and you see the results as they're completed, with no need to coordinate diaries.
You have flexibility: you can keep the process open for longer to attract more candidates, or modify it and open a new one with the adjustments you need. And if something doesn't convince you, write to us via Contact and we'll review it with you.
We apply technical and organisational measures in line with the GDPR (encryption, access controls) on secure infrastructure located in the EU. When JOBO processes candidates' data following your instructions, it acts as a data processor and your company as the controller; that relationship is governed by the Data Processing Agreement (DPA). The terms of service are in the Business Terms.
Yes, as a company using AI support in selection you have certain obligations, such as informing candidates appropriately. JOBO makes compliance easier: the final decision is always yours and we make available to you the information on how the AI is involved. You'll find the details on the Automated Decisions and AI page and in the DPA.
Yes. JOBO includes built-in messaging so you can talk to the candidates in your process without leaving the platform, with everything kept neatly alongside the process. As well as the account owner, you can add your team in read-only mode so they can view processes and candidates without modifying them, keeping you in control of any changes.
Yes. You can save any process as a reusable template (with its configuration and questions) to create new ones in seconds, ideal if you repeat similar profiles. And when a process ends, you can archive, schedule or close it; archived ones can be reactivated later and your history of data and assessments is kept.
Yes. JOBO has a connector (an "MCP server") that lets your assistant READ your hiring processes and your candidates, so you can ask it things like "who are the three best candidates for the warehouse role and why" without opening JOBO. Two ways to set it up. If you use the Claude or ChatGPT app, add JOBO as a connector with the address https://joboapp.es/api/mcp, approve it on the screen JOBO shows you, and that is it — no key to copy anywhere. For Claude Code, Cursor, n8n or your own tools, go to your user menu > Connect my AI, create a key and paste it as a Bearer key. Only the company administrator can authorise a connection, and it can be revoked at any time from that same screen.
General information
JOBO is available in four languages: Spanish, English, French and Italian. You can change the language whenever you like from within the platform and the whole experience (process, communications and help) adapts automatically.
The final decision is always made by the company, never the system. The AI generates a score and a ranking to guide, but JOBO doesn't rule anyone out automatically. You'll find all the details, together with your rights under the EU AI Act, on the Automated Decisions and AI page.
JOBO processes data to carry out each selection process, not for purposes unrelated to that. The detail of what data is processed and for what purpose is in the Privacy Policy, and how the AI is involved in the process is explained on the Automated Decisions and AI page. If you have any questions, you can write to us via Contact.
Some providers that support the service may process data outside the European Economic Area. When that happens, the transfer is always covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or other recognised mechanisms). You can find the details in the Privacy Policy.
Yes, we take care over accessibility so that anyone can use JOBO comfortably, regardless of how they navigate or the assistive technologies they use. We work continuously to improve it. You'll find the details on the Accessibility page, and if you come across any barrier, write to us via Contact.
You have a Help Centre with the most common questions and a contact form to write to us directly. If something doesn't convince you during a process, write to us and we'll review it. To challenge an assessment or exercise your rights regarding the AI, the channel is on the Automated Decisions and AI page.
